There are fifteen Divine Gems, each representing a realm of godly power and - in the case of fourteen - bestowing great powers on whosoever is able to win one in a Gem Quest. The fifteenth and final gem is the Amethyst of Time and it bestows the soul of a God; clearing away all gemholders and powers ready for the next cycle. The following individuals are registered as the holders of the currently quested Divine Gems:
Agarwain, the Firebrand holds the divine Pearl.
Illyism holds the divine Sapphire.
Agarwain, the Firebrand holds the divine Onyx.
See HELP CONTENDERS for a list, in order of seniority, of the three contenders for Ordination and - invariably - wielders of the powers of the Divine Gems. Contendership rights can be lost over time so this list is the more definitive insofar as those able to fight for the next Ordination.
The denouement of the fifteen Gem Quests is the Amethyst Ordination Quest. The Amethyst Ordination is a two part affair. Firstly all contenders are whittled down to two by playing out one versus one Sands Eliminator Contests in which no aid is allowed. Secondly, when just two remain, those two gather about themselves the whole of mortalkind - as supporting teams - in readiness to fight out Avalon's greatest challenge: the Ordination. The victorious contender is ordained and wins the divine status. The loser; nothing.
See HELP GEMS and HELP GEMQUESTS and learn about the Amethyst Ordination by reading HELP ORDINATION with HELP AMETHYST and HELP ELIMINATORS documenting the two stages of this paradigm event.
Do not forget to ask for use of the divine "window on the world" if you are a non-contender but wish to watch - for example - a Sands Eliminator. The Gods have special pools by the Rock Pinnacle able to give an incredible and immersive view of these high-stakes, often nail-biting contests.
