The noticeboards are directories of information, vital resources for adventurers and travellers seeking trading stock insight without having to visit the hundreds of possible outlets in search of a particular item or object type.
Syntax: DIR <item> or DIR <item with unique #>.
This is the equivalent of the DIRECTORY command and you simply specify an item type or, ideally, refer to an item you hold or know well enough to include its unique number (type IA to get a list of your whole inventory including each item's unique number or IH to see similar for your current location).
Syntax: DIR <runetype> or DIR <potiontype>.
Use the directory also to find runes and potions by referring to the type of rune (e..g.. frostbite) or the type of potion (e..g. euphoria) and the directory will show you runes of the correct shape and/or potions of the colour corresponding to that type.
The DIR command needs to be issued in the presence of one of the great trading noticeboards and, so long as you are close to one, you will look through its reports and discover info about all shops and stalls and marketplaces selling items like the one you designated.
Examples: DIR RAPIER will search up all rapiers of all metallic ore. DIR RAPIER6685 if you hold "a bronze rapier" numbered 6685 (or know this to exist) will look only for rapiers made of brfonze.
