There are two simple commands for moving quickly and automatically around the land: ZOOM and FIND. The FIND command is intended for juniors, an aid for seeking out specific targets needed for the early quests and challenges. It gives way to the more flexible ZOOM command - one of the staple general abilities at Respected Scholarship.
Syntax: FIND <where/what to find>.
All youngsters and those with Respected or above Scholarship can make use of the FIND command (and more flexible ZOOM). FIND is particularly useful for the juniors as its target list covers the most useful likely places of interest: FIND HOME takes you to your home city, FIND MONARCH makes a dash for the city monarch (a great source of quests) and FIND <guild> runs to the entrance of the guild you specify so you can KNOCK on their door (see HELP GUILDS).
NOTE: control the speed of your movement when using FIND by appending STROLL, SLOW, FAST or SPRINT after what you wish to find: STROLL will take a leisurely pace, SLOW will move at a regular pace - slow enough to read descriptions, not so slow it takes ages to get where you need to be, FAST will move quickly, SPRINT shifts at a pace others will find hard to follow and is often used when you find yourself in danger far from home.
It is advisable to experiment with switching on MOVING MAP for your automated movement. It is a great way to get an impression of the land as you hurtle along its well-trodden routes.
Syntax: ZOOM <target>/<where> [<optional speed: SPRINT/FAST/SLOW/CREEP>].
You can type ZOOM followed by a named CCC (e..g. ZOOM AUGUSTINE to make a dash for Lady Augustine in Parrius) or ZOOM followed by a city or village to target your speedy and automated movement. WARNING: zooming is indiscriminate so if there happen to be dangerous traps or dangers en-route you will likely blunder insouciant into them as you hurry to your destination. Be careful!
Syntax: ZOOM <destination>.
ZOOM not only takes you long distances but can be used to find your way through the maze of city streets, be it your homeland or a foreign city. It is possible to ZOOM to any of the ministries or ZOOM COUNCIL to target the baronial council.
Syntax: ZOOMING.
Shows you a list of places/words you can use to direct your zooming, providing there is a direct route.
Syntax: CEASE.
It may be you wish to terminate a zooming or finding - to stop the automated movement prematurely. To do this just type CEASE or STOP and you will immediately come to a halt.
