The Enchanters Guild wields envied powers. With monstrous blue dragons as
their aides, they strike their enemies suddenly and openly. In the moment
that the door is blasted down by a bolt of magic, mists crawl in to choke
their foe and mysterious ritualistic symbols cause earthquakes,
thunderstorms and hellfire to belch out of the ground. Light is woven to
awesome deeds: to shatter, confuse or impale. Incantations constantly fall
from their lips. With enough time and skill, Enchanters can even control and direct the very elements themselves. In the same breath they are sage-wise and fierce.
The Guild has seen many a revolution in its demeanor. With each passing leader, such as the first, Eshkadeth, and its most renowned, Calladan, the exact priorities have shifted. And yet one thing remains constant. The
Enchanters recognise that no legendary mortal will excel using a defensive
posture. In times of peace, this means protect what you hold dear by
taking the offensive. In times of war, this means give no quarter to thine
opponent. In all times, this means it is better to be reckless and die,
than cowardly and win.
Yes, an Enchanter is like a king who bends the lives of men to his oar by
whatever means. Yet, they are not bloodthirsty. It is the heart of
excellence which they seek. Their words are well-chosen and spoken often,
loudly and confidently. They will not shy from scholarship nor battle.
Their hearts lust for moments of perfection, moments of pain, moments of
learning, moments of defeat, moments of glory. They are flamboyant, aggressive and loyal... for their passions know no end.
