It is possible to add colour to your Avalon output if you have a client capable of displaying ANSI. To do this, type ANSI ON. If you want to supress colourful output or you find your client does not support Ansi, type ANSI OFF.
You will notice, most likely, that your fellow players enjoy different colours for their names. These colours are defined by their fundamental character outlook choices: plain white is for duellists, bold white is for luddites, regular cyan is for mortals, bold cyan is for Gods, green is for pacifists, plain red denotes a truefighter (see HELP FIGHTERS) and bold red labels a paradigm individual (see HELP PARADIGMS). These colours are most easily perceived when you type WHO to review those in the land with you, on the same continent, at any given time.
If you are honoured with 'true fighter' status or you select the 'luddite' mantle you will find your character name depicted in a distinct colour. You may prefer not to wear your status so openly and can type COLOUR BLUE to revert to the regular character colour (typically a light blue). This is reversed via COLOUR NORMAL to return to the colour your character's status merits.
See HELP PROMPT for info on colour of your prompt.
