In all the length of your post, you surmised my entire point in your
last sentence. Namely, for every action there is a counteraction.
Also, in my days I've faced knights who bring CCC's with them to
scythe malloran, but you'll never catch me whining about losing
to them just because of their little guardsman they brought. Any knight
with half a brain would use an ankh rune anyhow (not that I ever see
anyone doing so, but I suppose that shows the lack of competence today).
As to Giliad, if it were so unfair to bring CCC's along, and guild CCC's
were only given their magical powers to make them harder to kill when
they're alone, then how do you explain the fact that they're even
allowed to be left around in the first place? In life or death combat,
everything is a resource to be used to attain victory.
