I'd take issue with the argument that the fighters of Avalon are unable to appreciate its unique marvels. The complicated, multilayered skill system of these diverse professions are fitted to combat and defense, wheels within wheels of each other, whi
ch is part of the marvel of this land.
Those prevented from using these skills to this degree, or those who've not yet learned to do so even while nore prevented, tend to be the ones who are incapable of fully appreciating the marvels of Avalon.
Certainly we can appreciate the communal and other aspects of the system without lifting a finger to so much as spar, but what makes Avalon distinct from hundreds of other such communities is the evolved commands and skills.
Certainly, it may take thousands of hours of play to reach a point of understanding of Avalon and half-competence at Avalon's skills... but it seems to me those who do reach this point are always fighters.
