The Wizards Guild is the newest of the mage profession guilds, founded in Springdale in honour of the goddess of dreams. Its alignment is good, its loyalty firmly tied to its city.
Founded on the 8th of Agamnion, 910 by Casimian, the Wizards are located in Central Springdale. They have the profession of Mage and the guild alignment of Good
The Mage is the purest of magic users. He learns the traditional realms of magic and magical rituals, in addition to a healthy mix of musical, spiritual and herbalist abilities. Mages vary greatly in character from the dominant to the passive. All thirst for knowledge and to expand their abilities, and the greatest among them are unequalled by any of the other magical guilds in the field of battle. Becoming a skilled Mage, though, takes time and effort - more so than many of the other guilds. Rewards for this diligence are great and numerous.
The Wizards guild was founded by Casimian Trillinez, The Inquisitor as the first truly neutral guild of the mage profession. Above the petty politics of the ancient cities we act as the true guardians of the eternal balance between good and evil. Wizards manipulate the very essence of magic itself to mysterious and powerful effect. Our independant spirit has allowed us to refine these skills and begin a slow evolution towards the creation of a new profession. The Wizards guildhouse may be found just off Riverway Avenue in the fair City of Springdale.
The Wizards Guild was founded in honour of Andromeda, goddess of dreams and was intended a guild of good, true, caring outlook. Its aims are to protect the freedom of Springdale and nurture its various citizens.
The Wizards Guild, the most elite and powerful mage guild in the land, was
founded in the lost city of Springdale. The Wizards are obsessed with
excellence in the magical arts, the art of combat, and fellowship among
wizards. The pioneers of the elemental powers were wizards, and the first
elementalist was Lamron. Although wizards were the core defenders of Springdale,
the guild frequently welcomed serious mages from other cities, or homeless
mages obsessed only with extending their skill.
Since the razing of Springdale, the Wizards have declared their home city to
be the realm of magic itself, independent of alignment or citizenship. They
are powerful allies and fearful adversaries. Whatever their personal aims,
wizards are bound together as the elite explorers and fighters in magic. History
moves, clouds come and go, but the everlasting crackle and glow of magic, a color
perceived only by those prepared to see it, endures. If you can see this color, and
have the patience and fortitude for a long journey through adversity and struggle
until the limits of what is possible burn and fall at your feet, you might merit a
place among the wizards.
This enables you to learn, chant and cast magical spells of a specific type.
This gives you the ability to create powerful magics in a given area.
The skill of light-weaving, for both defensive and powerful attacks.
Your ability to play musical instruments and bring about enchantments through them.
From Springdale Square head east a short way onto River Way and then the Wizards Guild lies directly to the northeast.
