The only i have ever seen traversal items used for is either combat or breaking into to guilds.

Both of which would go against the concept of pacifism.

(Should be \"the only reason\" up there)

Only way to stop traversals are to move, whereas you can completely stop portals to a location if you want.

Just my thought on things
