There will be a divine gem quest taking place next month on Saturday 3rd October, beginning at 10PM

by the Avalon clock / 5PM EST.

The format for this quest will be BATTLE-SANDS. For those unaware, this quest-format involves team-

combat competition for possession of the sands of time (see HELP SANDS) with the winner receiving

the powers of the gem and contendership for ORDINATION XII.

ALL are invited and I expect everyone to participate. The battle-sands format is proven to be one of

the most thrilling of its kind; it is a format in which ALL Avalonians can participate, be

influential and stand a very real chance of victory. Young or old, it matters not. These quests have

been decided by the young many many times in the past and there is no greater learning experience

than fighting alongside the grizzled veterans in competitive combat.

The gem that is up for competition will by my gem - The Pearl of Stars - bestowing on its wielder

the gift of Fatalism and the as-yet-undiscovered powers of the Voodoo Firmament as well as CONTENDER

status and a note in the history books. There will be prizes for runners up and exceptional

participants as always.
