On the weekend of NOVEMBER 21st/22nd we will hold the sands elimination
quests and the amethyst gemquest - the last of the fifteen gemquests to
determine the next God. Timed to coincide with Avalon's 20th anniversary,
this promises to be one of the land's most noteworthy ordinations: each
contender, spanning the professions, with something to offer - countless
strategies as for the first time the specialisations will face off
against one another in earnest.
There will be sands elimination quests starting Saturday afternoon by
the Avalon clock and these will continue until we are left with just two
contender. The sands eliminations are one vs one contests, drawn at
random. The Ordination itself involves all citizens of the land if they
wish to take part, selecting the contender behind which to throw
their support. It lasts for three hours and details (for those who
don't know the format, if any such exist) are in HELP AMETHYST and
Contenders, if you have scheduling issues with the Saturday sands
elimination bring this to my attention so I can schedule you for a
weekday elimination. You should also give a little thought to your birth-realm,
for tensions are high in Olympus and you will be - as they say - stepping
out of the frying pan and into the fire, the moment you raise the
Sceptre of the Divinities and cast aside your mortal form... whichever
of you it may be.
