Melchior had chosen pacifism, which I understand to be a public indication of one's desire to not be involved in combat or agressive actions at all, due to the difficult nature of carrying out any reprisals against one so protected.

Apparently Melchior was actively healing you or Saphir during your recent fracas. This, to me, is a violation of the principle of pacifism. In addition, this is not the first time that Melchior has been engaged in agressive acts while under pacifism.

For example, during a recent raid on the Seers guild I observed him planting snake runes in our meeting hall.

Yairi, on the other hand, had dp presumably as a result of being shipped, and had made no such public declaration of a desire for a life of peace. His actions were defensive in nature, in that he was trying to eject you from his guild, and he committe

d no overtly offensive acts which would have caused him to lose dp.

I believe this to be a significant difference between the actions of the two.
