Perhaps fleeing nowadays has become 'part of the strategy'. But that certainly wasnt always the case. The concept of all these safety rooms was in support of the economic aspects of Avalon, and were not intended for use by fighters at all.
In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if the constant (ab) use of such by fighters were to be restricted somehow. Running away from an evenly matched foe (in terms of skills, not ability) is cowardice, and always has been.
The reason I post is that many of you forget the real passion and point of fighting, because you have such an easy way out. Things going badly? Just pop into your nearest safety room!
That is not what fighters do, at least, nobody I'd call a fighter. So enough whining about this subject, let your actions speak louder than your words.
