Aw, come on people!
I think I can safely say that we all have our excuses for
running to safety. This constant bitching isn't getting anyone
anywhere. We all run to barracks or sheds once in a while, for
a variety of reasons, anything from 'I can't arsed fighting now' to
'Dammit! I'm getting my head kicked in'. We all spend money, time and
effort here in Avalon, and every defeat is an anethema to that, so
we flee, BB, QQ, whatever. Some people do it more than others, but
I'd rather they did that than got frustrated with the game and never
come back.
Personally, I take a certain amount of pride in driving people to flee
and hide, quite often I've deliberately let people go, just to watch them
do the 'headless chicken' act. I think it's amusing, y'know.
Hey, why make excuses at all? Personally, as some of my bigger enemies
will know, when I decide to run for cover, I often make a point of telling
my enemies that I'm doing so, in as humourous a fashion as I can muster.
It makes them smile, I'm sure, and IRL I'd rather bring a laugh to someone
than have them insult me publicly here, y'know.
So lets drop the pretences and arrogance, and just admit it. We all flee
sometimes, it's part of the game otherwise the Gods wouldn't keep 'safe
locations' at all.
It's not cowardice, it's just another strategy.
