Previously I'd left EMOTE <text> in its current form to make it somewhat
harder for those who relied on triggers rather than themselves to make
frontline decisions. However, as there's increasingly a strategic/layered
potential in combat - aim is 80% as was, 20% additional no-easy-trigger - it
may be worth considering removing EMOTE as an easy way to 'do things'
that might set somebody's triggers a-flurryin'. Either delimit its use
to occasional so it'd have to be judiciously employed in combat, or
make it easy to distinguish an EMOTE from genuine without detracting
from its use in roleplay.
Bards and such have their own means of creating illusions in a location,
with limits on repetition.
Before making any change to EMOTE <text> I'll let anyone who wishes to
comment do so over the next week or two.
