It's quite ironic that after all your shouting about whining, here you are whining because someone else in the land happens to have something you don't!

Even better, you're straight up wrong! My mount is LESS powerful than a Unicorn, Threap. I take that tradeoff happily because I rarely use mounts anyhow--and a golden dragon simply suits me.

And even as you say people whined about your extra skillsets, you are moaning and wetting yourself over the loss of those extra skillsets.

I know that, personally, I'd get quite bored running around avalon with the ruby the pearl and a complete reliance on both of them. Also, remind yourself that the idea of removing the gems powers is one that has been kicking its way around Olympus for years now.

I still haven't heard Kodiak weigh in agreeing with you, either. Then again, I expect more out of him than I expect out of you.
