No Thakrian is going to tell Esprii what to do because she is not Thakrian.
I would also not be so surprised if Avalon dwindled to a challengeless, duel-
less, player kill player only game where anything goes, bug or not.
Would players be more happy with Avalon if it went that path?
Neidhart, though I respect you, your opinion on this manner is shortsighted.
I have always stated that there is a difference between unfairness and
unbalance. I have gone further to define unbalance as being a persistent
unfairness that is detrimental to the atmosphere of Avalon. With regards
to gems, I have brought about the option for gems to be reinstated, but have
limited usage per avalon or real time day. So this would balance the scales
from being too far weighted in one direction. I think it is just as unbalanced
to keep gems from working for this long a period of time as well. You earned
your gem, you get to use it -- but for a price. That price should be either
increased bloodlust against players without gems, limited usage of the gems
powers, or some other form of hindrance amenable to balancing the weight.
The one part where I do agree with you Neidhart is on the basis that we all
need to gain the mindset of enforcing proper behavior, starting with ourselves.
It is thereby with that incentive that I submit the following declaration:
I will forthwith refrain from teaming outside of Mercinae. I will refrain
from attacking individuals who have not provoked an attack within a real life
day. I will refrain from teaming a city enemy inside the walls of Mercinae if
they were summoned there from outside of the city. I will issue a challenge
to anyone on my peers list or lower in size should it be agreed mutual
a priori. I will maintain the right to refuse challenges with players who are
larger in size than I. I will treat those players who use known bugs in
Avalon with merciless death and torture. I will treat those players who attack
others during mutual challenges with merciless death and torture. I will
reward players who cease their attack on the other opponent after a mutual
challenge with praise. I will only participate in a team battle should the
teams remain as close to total size as possible (not simply player numbers).
These are my own declarations. I think if we all abide by them, Avalon will
become a more enjoyable place for all of us. But for those who wish not to,
whether because of their own volition or the philosophy of their Patron, you
should realize that when people run to temples for safety, or the pool, or
stockrooms or any other hard to reach location they are doing so because you
are going against the declarations I have set in motion.
If this reasoning is too complicated for anyone to read and understand, then
I would suggest you do the world a favor and kill yourself.
