I have never understood why hitting a lm type with exaar doesnt cause them to

be hit by their own staves

I think some of the ideas posted have merit. It is unfortunate that some in the lm

profession have abused the use of staves, or permitted them to be abused by their

friends with pushing or summoning into a staved up tower type location.

The misuse of staves was demonstrated to me today by Koenen. In a Mutual Challenge

Koenen set up 5 staves on the North Road south of Thakria, and then, proceeded to

do little else but run around in them, occasionally smelting a potoin or two.

In fairness, i think he did jab at me once having thought he had just pushed me

through staves. Now if i were jumping him, or if it was not a mutual challenge

I could accept those consequences. But for this to occur in a mutual challenge

was simply an abuse of the skills given.

So is the skill overpowered, or are some of those with the skill merely abusing

that power such that adjustment is required.

I firmly believe it is the latter, and point to Drasnia and Yairi, two loremasters

whose rank in Avalon does not relate to any fighting skill, but merely the misuse

of a skill.
