I have thought along these same lines also with regards to our essencing of items that are made by loremasters. Often, mages will essence for loremasters when charging up these items which are then used by the general public. If it were that the items
could not be produced without our help, then I can see that we would have some degree of control over which items were released to the open market. However, after speaking with a loremaster, I have found out that they don't need a mage to do this sid
e of the work. Another loremaster can essence for them.
As far as picking and choosing which skills are \"sacred\" I'm sure that there would be a lot of debate about this subject among mages. But it seems that it would all be just a hypothetical debate if the actual charging of the items is beyond our contro
