The flaw in your argument is that Thakria has never given someone a position of power simply because of their combat prowess. It takes a demonstration of significant loyalty in order to attain such a role. ST, however, made their best fighter GM of

the Paladins and Prince of their city in short order. Somewhat sad, if you ask me.

But then, most of ST is pretty sad these days. No wonder Threap left.
