On another note, I am hereby formally announcing that I will lend my support to many efforts by mortals to train others to become competent and skilled.
My support will come in two basic levels. The first level of support I will give will be to a person(s) who give intermediate level instruction to others. (I. E above the basic instruction the relations departments and guilds should be giving.) The top
ic can be anything from general survival and fighting basics to specifics like the use of poisons and herbs or proper use of a guildskill.
Attendees may be any group you chose--citizens only, guild members only. My support will be fairly basic and modest--perhaps providing some equipment and materials so that you don't have to.
Anyone who wishes to run one of these training sessions should approach me, but be warned, I will only support those I feel have sufficient competence in the area they propose to teach.
The second level of support I will give is much greater--Master classes. In such classes, only people of Master or Grandmaster level in the skill area(s) being taught will be allowed to attend. Likewise, only someone I acknowledge as a true master of
that area will be allowed to instruct.
The catch is--the class must be open to all who share that area of expertise and the subject, in fact, must cross guild and city lines. Classes on rituals must be open to all Masters of the mage profession. Trapping seminar must include all who have t
hat skill. (Unfortunately, this sort of leaves sorcerers out unless they want to instruct prophets in low level evocation, sorry boys)
The rewards, however, for teaching your enemies are great--not only must they be highly skilled, but they must pay anywhere between 2,500 and 10,000 to participate (I set the fees based on quality of instruction proposed.) You get most of the money (w
hich I collect and hold against your performance) and I lend fairly significant support in the setting up and running of the seminar.
Again, approach me if you have ideas.
One type Master class topic I would be willing to sponsor without tuition would be a very intelligent, thoughtful and considered discussion of what it means to be good/evil with the understanding that the attendees would strongly promote roleplay in t
he direction of the appropriate alignment.
