Please recognize that fighting is not always\"learnable\" regardless of what others say that if you will fight constantly you will learn. There are those of us who just cannot make it work. For us, Duellist is a wonderful way to keep from being tagged Pacifist, which often has a derogatory attitude toward it.

Just as in the real world, everyone cannot be in the army- who would build their war machines for them? Or the navy- who would build the ships? Avalon is a richer world when it contains those who serve in other situations than just fighter.

However, having been one of the ones used\"as a monk\" for experience and killed steadily because i was an\"easy\" kill, I love duellist as it allows me to remain in a land I love and be productive and contribute.
