Lazy Dunccan, the Sad Old Clown

Dunccan hails from the city of Mercinae.

Dunccan is a member of the Knights Guild with Grand-Master and Elder statuss.

Known for a raging temper and an eccentric personality, Dunccan is the high priest of Castigere and a strong fighter for good. He was a Mercinaen knight for most of his life, but after a clash with Edgtho he left for Springdale where he spent some time as a paladin. A long absence followed, as a result of a craven capitulation during an ordination, but after returning from his self-imposed exile and joining the Parrian Warriors, Dunccan quickly took over guildmastery. His old-school fighting prowess sees him one of the most formidable of opponents and he lead - in his time on the frontline - the Parrian armies, defending the city with a quick blade and legions of well-marshalled troops. His time as Parrian Field Marshall ended rather acrimoniously, however, as the city turns its back on the returning 'hero' after conquest of Mercinae.

Dunccan went through a low epoch after his unexpected and ignominious treatment by Parrius after what he and many had viewed as a great military triumph over Mercinae. Modern times has seen a renaissance of this old school and undoubtedly talented fighter and he has risen to triumph in a popular vote against the incumbent in a resounding election victory for the Mercinaen baronial council - against all expectations - while his combat is widely recognised as having the potential to be the best of the post-Elmaethor era. He took the reigns as Prince of Mercinae by right in 1368 aDW and with him has been charged the restoration of the City of Light and Justice and defender of the faithful. He holds the rare honour of the Knight Paradigm.

On the 27th day of Midsummer 971, he was initiated into the Knights Guild (under the mastery of Trell, Soulforger of Light).

He renounced citizenship of Mercinae on the 9th day of Agamnion 1082.

On the 24th day of Midsummer 1163 he was given the right to throw a divine moonstone into the pool of the Gods at the Rock Pinnacle.

On the 27th day of Cloudburst 1198 he was cast out of the Order of Castigere, the god of justice.

He renounced citizenship of Springdale on the 5th day of Leaflost 1229 and left the Paladins Guild on the 5th day of Leaflost 1229.

On the 29th day of Leaflost 1229, he accepted citizenship of Parrius.

He was elected onto the council of Parrius on the 6th day of Hindyear 1230.

The great honour of the TRUE FIGHTER status was bestowed on him, by Genesis on the 5th day of Skyelong 1231.

In Hindyear of 1237 aDW he led the Armies of Parrius in their destruction of the fortifications of Mercinae's East Gate and successfully CONQUERED the city of Mercinae. He received their note of surrender and Parrius' annexation of Mercinae was complete. Duncan was appointed Vice Regent of Mercinae by command of Princess Orielle of Parrius.

As Vice Regent, appointed by Princess Orielle of Parrius, he declared an end to the surrender of Mercinae on the 20th day of Hindyear 1237. On this day begins the first year of the Regency.

He was welcomed into the Order of Nostradamus on the 13th day of Cloudburst 1250.

On the 29th day of Agamnion 1251 he was cast out of the Order of Nostradamus, god of darkness.

He was welcomed into the Order of Sulisia on the 25th day of Mournsend 1304.

He was awarded the status Elder of the Warriors Guild on the 22nd day of Midwinter 1320 by Sulisia, goddess of the light.

He was married to Aster of the Mercinaen Mages by Genesis, the god of time in Paglost 1325. The wedding vows were unique: Dunccan, with Aster's willing assent, bound his soul to mortality for all eternity; and the twain were bonded across all avatars and all incarnations.

On the 17th day of Leaflost 1339, Aster gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. He is the father.

He was elected onto the council of Mercinae on the 14th day of Leaflost 1366 in one of the most closely fought and just contests of recent times.

He was welcomed into the Order of Malhavok on the 12th day of Hindyear 1372.

He made public denouncement of holy orders and cast aside patronage of Malhavok, god of the storm on the 30th day of Springflower 1406 aDW.

He was awarded the status Elder of the Knights Guild on the 28th day of Eleuthral 1532 by Lord Reyner.
