The goddess of dreams was, for a time, inhabited by another spirit of mortal origin and although she appeared to look after the divine avatar in a responsible fashion for many decades, in the end her sanity was challenged and broken by the pressures of godly existence.
In the year 1361 aDW, less than a decade from the century anniversary of the destruction of Springdale, Andromeda was struck down by Ashvani, goddess of the moon shortly after being stripped of patronage of Silverfalls by an angry, newly crowned Prince Serethipas whom she had opposed and continued to insult long after ascension.
No mortal followers were forthcoming with Hope festivals to revive the stricken deity and - because of the ephemeral cohabitor - the dream-goddess returned to the pantheon without her mortal caretaker: the latter had been extracted from the divine avatar, left to drift back to her many earthbound forms.
Andromeda is the goddess of dreams and will endure for as long as the world itself, however. She remains an ideal for all who dare to dream in this life and it is hoped one day the true Andromeda will grace the land of Avalon once again.
