Regarding Debits and Prepaids

Avalon uses the Stripe merchant services, which takes nearly every card type imaginable (virtual or physical, debit or credit, prepaid or credit) provided the card's inherent restrictions permit it.

When purchasing with a prepaid card for the first time, you should check the Terms and Conditions of the card type beforehand. It will list clearly whether online/virtual/customer-not-present purchases are permitted.

Gift cards not prepaid cards. Gift cards are usually restricted to specific services / associated retailers.

If your credit, debit, or prepaid card is still declined, you must call your card issuer to lift what restrictions may be blocking your use of it. Provided it allows online purchases, they will often lift the restriction by phone.

Our recommendation is to use https://usa.visa.com/ or https://www.mastercard.com/ under their Prepaid Cards sections to find an appropriate card for you.

Any card for which you apply, even if a formality, should work without issue.

Virtual cards for online purchases with a quick application process will certainly be usable with our system and permit you to remain security conscious and frugal.
