pacifism.

The problem with defining pacifism, and thus what pacifists are allowed to do, is that it rather depends on what you

think avalon itself is about.

If avalon is front and foremost about combat (and only a fool would deny that personal combat is a large part of avalon) then pacifism can be seen as an antithesis to the combative, and that a true pacifist is one who avoids combat, and combative situ

ations at all costs.

If avalon is about personal interaction and socialising (the 'chat room' crowd) then the highest duty of a pacifist would be to help his friends.

If avalon is about exploration, questing, and self-improvement, then pacifism would be a way to explore, map and level up with minimum interference from the bloodthirsty.

In the end of the day, many people try to classify pacifism, and pacifists according to their world view. They judge the actions of real pacifists against the checklist of their own worldview.

Ultimately though, no-one can tell you how to be a pacifist. You need to decide what drives you to be a pacifist, and what actions are consistent with that view. It's a safe bet that constant, direct interference in other peoples fights will draw comp

laints in quantity, and an immortal may choose to act upon those complaints or of course, Their own initiative.

Is pacifism cowardice? Is pacifism a way of avoiding difficulty and hardship? Are pacifists interfering busybodies? Those questions will be asked many times by combat orientated players, and I doubt there will ever be a satisfactory answer.
