In the second semi-final sands quest elimination Fistandantilus defeated

Edgtho to take his place alongside Kodiak in the Ordination finale - the

battle for the divine amethyst. Fistandantilus held the sands first and

never let go - easing calmly past his opponents whose tactical savoir-faire

let him down when it mattered most.

Nonetheless, Edgtho can be proud of his achievements in reaching the

semi-final stages and will doubtless be one of the favourites for

contention in the next Ordination should he decided to compete. For

Fistandantilus, the greatest prize of all awaits - but standing in his way

is a formidable foe: Kodiak was, after all, only narrowly defeated in

the previous Ordination.

All will depend on the teams gathered by the two contenders. Remember, all

of you Avalonians, that the amethyst quest can involve everyone. It is

a worldwide event - the most significant date in Avalon's calendar - and

any mortal may end up making history, tipping the balance one way or

the other.

Good luck to both contenders. The Ordination has now been firmly scheduled

for the weekend of January 19th. It will begin at 10pm by the Avalon clock

on that Saturday. All must declare their supported contender before

the contest begins and the quest takes place over a three to five hour

period.
