As a precursor to the up and coming Gem Quest, I am glad to inform you all

that the new Avalon Java client is now available for download. You can

download it from the following address:

PLEASE NOTE: the installation instructions are very simple, but must be

followed. You will require two files. One is an update for Java on your

computer. The other file is the Java client itself.

IMPORTANT: when downloading the Java client (avalonclient.jar) you

will click on the hyperlink. You then choose 'save' and not 'open from its

current location'.

Another windown will appear and you must choose from the drag down menu, 'All

file' and NOT 'compressed file types. This will ensure that the JAva cilent is

the correct format and that the installations for both run well.

The Gem Quest will be taking place on the 19th of September and anyone wishing

to take part, must use the above mentioned client.
