given that Fireball seems to be bugged and cannot be lobbed into trees
despite it's syntax, what other methods are there of attacking a ranger
in a tree, or, indeed, getting them out of a tree?
I've tried a few seemingly logical ideas to no avail. Bear in mind that
the old favourite Homonculus demon can't get into the tree either, nor
can any of my seekers, storms etc. I tried Defoliation, which sets trees
on fire, but this seemed not to help, I've tried fear, storm, chopping
trees down, and just about every spell and ability in my repetoire,
inlcuding some bizaare ones. But so far, nothing. The one time I did
manage to hit a ranger in a tree it was quickly countered by the
application of an invisibility.
Now, add this to that god-awful Blowpipe Ab (Poison hits, you see the
effect but not the delivery, cannot be stopped by Shield, Malloran, bladebar
or Pentacle) and you can see that fighting a ranger is becoming STUPIDLY hard
so long as they stay in their woodlands and up a tree.
Now, whilst I quite enjoy watching them cower and hearing their occasional
bleats of 'keep out the forest, then' (hard, considering HOW MUCH forest there is
in Avalon), I would quite like to fight one or two...Any ideas?
Oh and before anyone says 'You've got the clouds', it's only one location and
it's pretty damned hard to attack someone from it, though I recognise it's
similarity. That's why I posted here and not the Sorcs board, in the hope of
taking a look at this style of... ahem... combat in general.
