Jammond, it is amusing to see how vehemently you are fighting this emoting proposal. It is clear how tightly coupled they are in your attack routines. As public opinion is clearly swayed towards doing something about it you see fit to pipe up with a totally irrelevant post of your own.
Your one argument in favour of keeping emotes in fighting has been debated, and found invalid as it could only possibly fool the poorest of setups.
Whatever you say has already been implemented to stop emote spam is clearly not enough, hence the relatively large amount of activity this topic has spawned. Two solutions have been offered so far, a small balance (yes, taken from the real attack balance) on each emote or a skill in perception or scholarship that allows us to effectually EMOTES OFF or EMOTES ON.
