As a point of clarification, I used to refer to Springdale as Emodale, or
ED, when I first arrived. And while I received quite a few chuckles from
this, as well as the double entendre achieved with the abbreviation, Pahn
strongly objected to this reference and I had to agree it was over the top.
Later, I managed to read through the help system down to 23.22
(cryptically named Springtown), and inquiries into this with older
members of my city clarified the matter. It was then I learned that the use
of Springtown was irritating to those in power in Springdale, and I found it
a fitting substitute.
A simple perusal of the help system would, or at least should, give one
pause before baseless accusations are made. A bit of intelligent
forethought would go a long way toward eliminating this sort of nonsense.
I fear for any reasonably intelligent newcomer to Springtown, who takes a
moment to read the help system and incorporates the knowledge therein.
Apparently, to those in power the newborn's preternatural understanding
gleaned thereby must surely be a sign of second-ness, since such vast
knowledge could never be obtained through other means.
