The battle for the welfare of Ailiana's children has been going on for many, many years.

In 1118 they were discovered abandoned in a filthy cot in a basement in Thakria. The children left home alone whilst their mother cavorted with the forces of Darkness, attacking deep into the stronghold of Mercinae at the helm of the seers guild.

Fortunately at that time our mystics were strong under the custodianship of Tristian and the once fervently anti-Darkness Esprii. Tristian rescued the children from their squalor and once Ailiana noticed her brood had disappeared (which took some time I believe) opened negotiations for their safe return.

As I remember Thakria had little use for two such pitiful creatures and refused to pay the required ransome. Ailiana was at the time the only active seer in Thakria and so I guess leaving the profession was not an option.

The memories have faded as time passes but I seem to remember the matter was resolved by a \"higher power\" sympathetic to Ailiana's cause and the children were returned mysteriously to their mother without penalty.

Despite this divine intervention it seems a religious epiphany occured and Ailiana landed in Springdale. No doubt attracted by the multitude of baby equipment available for sale and the proximaty of the nearby Oakwood school.

Alas it seems her parenting skills have not improved and once again one of her children left home alone is found wandering the streets and has been taken into care.

Perhaps it is for the best the child remains in Parrius where at least the state system will care for the poor abandoned mite.
