The fact that the two prominent bards in the land are currently springdalian is a cataclysmic failing on your part. \"I unlike you defended unto death the uniqueness of the Mercinaen guild of
Bards. \" You crazy fool, get off your round behind and take the fight to Krystal , Camaris and any other non Mercinaen bard before they get any silly ideas that they can choose whatever guild they want without answering to Big Dunccan.
Not knowing Kilthas as a bard or a person really, but it is highly unlikely that your solitary traversal was uniquely responsible for the entire closure of a guild. I have to say, it may be down to my slight frame and less imposing bulk, but I have never had such an effect on anyone I have traversed to in their guild. Perhaps this Kilthas chap was all for a quiet life, your presence clearly over awed him and he just buckled under your traversing might.
Aren't you also the self same man who spent 30 long years labouring to finish his apprenticeship in the Knights? Many have talked of your \"slow nature\" and your tendency to act in a \"witless\" fashion indeed harsher critics have called you \"stupid\". Surely this extraordinarily lengthy period as an apprenticeship speaks volumes for the man we see before us today.
Though, as you say, you were struck many times the wild force of nature that is lightning so perhaps this goes some way to compensate under grounds of \"diminished responsibility\".
