Not too mention the fact that if a knight has you in a locked room, and freezes you that they sometimes have the option of cleaving you before you break free of the ice (unless this has been changed, i wouldn't know i dont use freeze) which negates the option of applying quarri to create an alkar.

Leaving one option which is to pill out, assuming you have a pill suited to your current location! Even though i am a knight type myself i wholeheartedly agree with you, and believe that freeze should only be used who have it in their skillset, because at least then there is the ability to defend against it!
