Aside from the third and fourth paragraphs, you make some very valid points. I've spoken with Galadriel a number of times regarding the relations between our cities, and told her I fully agree with attacking those that kill their men, I would expect Parrians to do the same. I don't believe that either city should sit back and take whatever the other dishes out (unless one city is dishing out cake, but that's beside the point).

Concerning getting them both to back off, I don't know what to do. I've tried in the past to get both our cities to completely cease any hostilities, let things cool down a bit, then discuss what problems we have and what we can do to solve them. I can agree with them having a personal war on certain people, but not conducting a personal war on a city, as some of your people are also doing. Say for instance that a war did occur, what would it solve? The same people would be in the same cities doing

the same things, there would just be less troops on both sides, so the point of war seems rather moot.

I think one of the best things we all could do is swear not to interfere with the other city, then put the swords away and allow each side to state their grievances and recommendations, and reach a common understanding through that. I cannot speak for the other members of my city, I do not know how strongly they desire peace. Until something happens, however, peace is what I'm going to strive for.

PS Cynicism is welcome, as is telling it like it is, hiding one's true thoughts and intentions will only obstruct our goals.
