Since you fail to appreciate innuendo, let me spell it out for you.
The problem of smaller players being drawn in to the politics of the larger is an issue that has gone on for ages and, to some degree, will continue for ages. Yes, Dunccan stripped Tomas. Yes, Tomas was only defending his city. Yes, this is a repetition of actions we have seen many many times before.
I agree it is wrong that a smaller player should be faced with such harsh consequences and hypocrisy. And it should be fixed.
UNTIL THEN, the best solution is to deal with the situation. deafness against thieves, lms and rangers (deaf ears was perhaps too subtle for you, simply an echoing of your own post, pardon the humor), intolerance against all, anchor runes on items you want protected or outpouching limited on. Trigger \"outp %1 %2\" (in quotes, this will trigger all orders except image will) to get %1 %2, inp %1 %2. trigger unknot pack to knot pack. etc. i personally don't much believe in triggers, but if it protects your
items, use them. that's not elegant fighting, that's survival.
Posting about being stripped on the fighters bb turns something that could be a very valid point into something that is inherently viewed as a rant, whine, or ego-driven challenge. The fighters bb is not a place for change, it is a place to unload, maybe learn a bit, and have a laugh or two. If you see that as wrong, then change the nature of the fighters bb. Not impossible, but difficult.
I agree that the issue is a real one - smaller players should not face such harsh consequences for simply acting within their own personal code. Microcosm was creted as an attempt to fix this, but it falls short in situations like this - YOUR microcosm is defending your city, and the fight, for you, ends there. Dunccan's microcosm, however, does not end when he's left the city (or died, perhaps even at your hand). He wants revenge, or at least to teach you to stay away next time.
Here is where the waters get muddied. Should small players be allowed to attack a city enemy all they want in the city, with a team, but then be immune from harm after? Should larger players be allowed to take revenge for attacks they received from those smaller? What if the \"enemy\" was brought into the city? And what if a little follows a party to a foreign city to continue an attack?
I apologize for offending you Tomas, but, believe me, I have thought about this very topic at length. Dunncan's actions, in this case, may have been extreme, but DOES a larger player have the right to \"discourage\" smallers from assisting their citymates?
In my opinion they do, provided it be humane in execution. 200 shirolos is a bit much, granted, but losing a sword can be a very valuable lesson to a young knight - opening their eyes to the hierarchy of power that exists here.
sorry for the length, and apologies for not calling anyone a vile curr or insulting their mother, as i know is the typical MO here. Tomas (and Gaar), if you believe this topic is an important one, please bring it to the public bb, where it will be viewed as one for discussion and potential resolutions brainstormed, rather than seen as a whine and just another bit of mud thrown at a fighter.
