Greetings my fellow fighters,
In an effort to change the ridiculous posts of recent, I bring up a new subject: true fighters.
What I mean by this is men (and of course women) who truely delight in the thrill of battle as I do.
This does NOT necessarily mean killing. I would much rather lose a good long challenge (as I recently had with Marik
(thanks!)) than win a challenge in two JJ's. The pure thrill of a well-fought battle is the greatest rush of all.
For all my bitching about Threap, I must thank him dearly, for he has taught me more about fighting than anyone. Albiet this comes at the cost of my repeated death and loss of items, but I have more fun each time it happens. <grin>
Also, you will find that often times I will help other guilds, even other cities (the gods forbid) after a successful challenge. Jebaman, Sepe, and many of the other younger knight types will vouch for this.
My reasons are simple as I have already explained. I hope that they may one day achieve my level of skill (sadly lacking) and provide a good challenge, not an easy death.
Well, that's my two bits. I thank you all for listening. In closing I would remind everyone who complains about death that it is THE greatest way to learn.
And thank all of you for many great challenges past and future.
Sir Arthor, The Honourable.
