Dunccan,
Hate to say this, mate, but regardless of your personal feelings toward retreat,
and regardless of how weak it may make an opponent seem, survival is the name
of the game. All that matters, in the end, is who falls and who does not. If one
will fall without retreat, better to retreat than give your fate over to your
opponent.
As little as I care for Arthor, I honestly don't see how pointing out his
penchant for retreating, or rather, your inability to deter him so that he
cannot, or cannot flee far enough, has any bearing on his skill as a fighter.
As far as your questioning his worth as a Chosen One, I daresay that is none
of your business, but rather something between him and his patron, a bond which
is obviously far beyond you or I to understand, much less comment upon.
Fare thee well and tempt not the Fates,
Kil
