I hope this is only a momentary distraction from the current discussion, but several of the previous posts have warranted my question, particularly one made by Zakath.

Only recently (as in the past 10 months or so) have I noticed that a sorcerer may punch or jab death in order to undo the effects of parleying.

When discussing the great sorcerers of old, and the opponents who, apparently, defeated them quite easily, are we taking this into account?

Has the tactic of punching death been around for a very long time, or is it a new trick?

As a knight, that one technique makes the difference between a win and a loss - a sorc who does not punch death effectively is less challenging by far.

So, if we are going to talk about Sorcerers and thier defeats in the past, perhaps this question could be answered, for perspective?
