Julian - you're somewhat admirable mate, like a little nobody who suddenly says something
that the others find stupid, but YOU say it with such confidence! It's great to see all the big
guys found someone to pick on! Don't get me wrong. You killed me in friendly fights dozens
of times with the little cleave thing, but eventually, we all learn (even I). It's somewhat
confusing when you give an argument and all the others which are so much 'better' than
you say otherwise, but perchance you might be right. As Lilandrin was told, back your words
with deeds, and at the same time, remember that there will always be people who will be
challenging, no matter how important or unimportant you are. As for Arthor's grammar, I
assure you it's quite accurate. So far, I never noticed a mistake. Remember that 'thy' can
be used as 'your', while 'thine' can only be used as 'yours'. Slight difference.
(This was on many posts ago, but being away for so long, I read them all at once.)
Lilandrin (perhaps even a more ancient subject...) - I (and I know how insignificant my opinion
is to many) believe that one can be a ranger without being part of the rangers, especially
because of the guild's definition. Rangers live in the forest, Julian's mistake was that he
didn't take in consideration the difference between rangers and animists. RANGERS ARE NOT
SOME KIND OF ANIMISTS. Rangers are supposed to be far handier and they're supposed to
have a savoir-vivre that allows and even supports their independence. Don't believe me?
How many of you read Howard Pyle's 'Robin Hood'? See for yourselves. It doesn't say
anywhere that a ranger must be part of a structured organisation, on the contrary.
As for why we play the game??? I do it for the people. They are all so different and so invisible
it's fun just to discover who the 'others' are. And it's when they speak up, like Julian that
you get to know them.
And let's not make this BB about something more obnoxious than it already is about. Let's
not make it about little players vs. bigger players since we'll all get bored to death in a very short time.
Grimly yours (or perhaps not),
Fulgloire
