might I just say how much I enjoyed your post.

I too wonder about pacifists helping to build a war machine, I am sadly into the ideas rather than the loop hole, its called roleplaying, as I know you know(G)

But then if someone makes a component, say a screw

that is used to make a machine, that makes a gun, that is used to kill...

Does that make them a killer? (confusing myself now*G*)

Perhaps there should be some sub groups within pacifism?

With draw backs and rewards depending on wether you are a won't fight or a can't fight?

I also must say nothing was done by mercinae that couldn't have been done by any other city, it was a team(city) effort, showing that mercinae has perhaps achived a modicum of balance within its citizenry?

That wasn't meant to sound glaoating or any such nonsence, just a fact as far as I can see it.

Again I echo your sentiments there is no point arguing the merits of violence vs non violence, it is personal choice, and vive le difference!
