I find it rather fun to fight in mage rituals, it add a little more challenge than fighting someone with just a charming and candescence skillset in their arsenal.

I think you will find most knight types fight mages in their rituals, hanging out in them for a long time is not wise, but enduring them to get a kill is strategy.
