To all Mages, Warlocks, Enchanters, and Wizards!

Annoucing the first Annual Magefair!

On January 22nd, at Noon GMT, I cordially invite all members of the Mage profession, young or old, to compete in a Double Elimination Tournament!

The format for the tournament will be simple, with a few special twists.

Combatants will be paired according to skill level during the first round, and randomly in subsequent rounds.

Unfortunately individuals who fall in the first round shall have the chance to fight thier way back into the winners bracket.

Combat will take place in a randomly selected \"arena\" - an Urban local (the city of Springdale, since it has no hostile staves), Suburban (The Village of Eleusis) and Wildland (Around Path Entrance).

In the case of the urban setting, if one of the two combatants are native to the city, the other opponent will be allowed to request a change of locale.

Now for the twist, honorable Mages - before the tournament, all participants will be required to empty thier pouches of all Sata.

Before each round, each participant will be given 5 sata with which to fight.

This is both to help limit the duration of each round, and to encourage Mages to be proactive and agressive in their fighting.

Hopefully this tournament will acquire a Divine Sponsor between now and then (any takers?), but if not, there will be no prizes awarded.

Your sole reward will be the knowledge that you are truly the best amongst your peers.
