Your right, there have been some great thieves, but I would also imagine it is takes great use of their defensive skills that they get, as well as a unordinary talent for fighting and all that entails it.

Like Tukar said, I am not saying bandits can't be great fighters, just that they are not \"meant\" to be, just as seers are not \"supposed\" to be good one on one fighters. But they seem to handle their own quite well too.
