Well, its been over 15 years.
In all that time, I've never won the prize for anything else, but perhaps the prize for slowest on the uptake can finally be mine?
Avalon is truly unique, and holds a very special place for me. Its strange to be playing the same game at 30 as I did at 14, and even more strange to still find it as engaging as I ever did - perhaps even more so now.
I started back in the days before the internet. The excitement as I badgered my now late father to let me crank up the old modem and enter the world of Avalon still lingers every time I logon. I still cringe at the thought of the phone bill I ran up!
Over those years, I grew up (a bit), went to Uni (a lot), and have done various irrelevant stuff which I won't bore you with. However, when I play Avalon, the years no longer seem to have passed.
Despite Fractell's seeming inability to do anything other than die (he takes it like a man), I've always enjoyed every last minute. I've seen many come and go, and hope to see many more in the future.
I still remember visiting Avalon Hostplay in Camden town as a youngster. Genesis had me and my poor friend performing acrobats to help tidy up the wires - in other words slave labour, but he was at least very nice about it.
I come and go from the land, but Avalon remains. Viva Avalon, and thanks to all past, present, and future, and most of all to Genesis for creating something of such exquisite genius, and enduring interest.

(yes, it seems I actually am Sorceror Tim for the Monty Python fans, how very appropriate)
